Christian Roussel and Frédéric Fotiadu were guests of honor at the 2007 edition of the Symposium "Contemporary Chemistry Conferences".

Appointed director of the Central School of Marseille in November 2009, Frédéric Fotiadu was responsible for international relations of the school and led the Chemical Sciences Doctoral School of Aix-Marseille. He obtained his doctorate in organic chemistry in 1991, and later he continued his research at the Autonomous University of Barcelona until 1994.

After being recruited as "Maître of Conferences" by the School of Chemistry ENSPICAM, professor Fotiadu formed a team of specialists in asymmetric synthesis under the guidance of Professor Gérard Buono and developed a series of both theoretical and experimental approaches in the field of chiral topology.

Heavily involved from the very beginning in the project Central School Marseille, he joined the school's inception in 2003 and he participates in the implementation of new programs. Appointed professor in 2005, he works today at the Institute for Molecular Sciences in Marseille. He earned the distinction of Knight of the Palmes Académiques order.
